Prudential has announced a significant leadership change in its Greater China region, naming Angel Ng as the new Regional Chief Executive Officer for Greater China, Customer, and Wealth. This move follows the upcoming retirement of Lilian Ng, who will conclude a distinguished 30-year career with Prudential at the end of this year.
Effective October 1, Angel Ng will assume her new role and join Prudential’s Group Executive Committee. Based in Hong Kong, she will report directly to Prudential CEO Anil Wadhwani.
Angel Ng brings over 25 years of extensive experience in the financial services sector. Prior to her appointment at Prudential, she held prominent positions at Citi, including Chief Executive of Insurance for Asia, where she managed life insurance operations across the region. Most recently, she was the lead for Citi’s Asia North & Australia Cluster and has previously served as the head of Asia for Citi Global Wealth and CEO of Citi Hong Kong and Macau.
Lilian Ng will continue in her current role until the end of the year to facilitate a seamless transition. She will then remain with the company as an advisor to the CEO until June 2025.
