MGA Rokstone, a professional reinsurance company under the Aventum Group, announced the establishment of an international accident insurance department to further expand its global business territory. This is another significant move following the company’s recent launch of multiple accident insurance departments in the United States, the United Kingdom and Ireland, covering areas such as sports and leisure activity accident insurance, commercial risks and excess casualty insurance. The new department is expected to achieve gross premium income (GWP) of over 850 million US dollars within five years, highlighting Rokstone’s strong growth momentum and global strategy.
Rokstone appointed Sam Wylie as the portfolio manager of the new department. Wylie has over 15 years of experience in international accident insurance and has worked for well-known companies such as Convex, Tokio Marine Kiln and Marsh. His addition will bring profound technical expertise and a profit record to the team. This department will be supported by Lloyd’s A-level underwriting capacity to ensure the safety and stability of its global business.
Ian Anson, the global CEO of Rokstone, said that the international accident insurance market offers significant opportunities for business diversification, but only top underwriters can stand out in this highly competitive field. Currently, Rokstone operates in multiple regions around the world, with insurance coverage covering professional fields such as property, energy, aviation and health. Its total GWP exceeds 1.1 billion US dollars, making it one of the fastest-growing MGA globally.
