GCash has introduced a new initiative offering free health and accident insurance to users who purchase prepaid mobile load through its Buy Load feature. This coverage is provided at no extra cost via GCash’s GInsure platform and underwritten by FPG Insurance.
Eligible users can receive insurance coverage worth up to $540 (₱30,000). The benefits include daily income assistance of $9 (₱500) for up to five days of hospitalization due to illness or accident, along with disablement benefits of up to $180 (₱10,000).
Ren-Ren Reyes, president and CEO of G-Xchange Inc., the company operating GCash, emphasized that this insurance benefit offers crucial financial relief during medical recovery. It aims to help users avoid debt and reduce the financial burden on families during challenging times.
This new offering highlights GCash’s commitment to providing trustworthy insurance solutions that protect its customers while they enjoy convenient mobile services.
