Singlife has enhanced its travel insurance offerings by introducing a new benefit that provides lump-sum payouts for injuries sustained during in-flight turbulence. This coverage is now included at no extra cost across all tiers of its travel plans: Travel Lite, Travel Plus, and Travel Prestige.
Under the new feature, policyholders who suffer turbulence-related injuries receive fixed hospital income payouts ranging from $390 (S$500 SGD) to $780 (S$1,000 SGD), depending on the plan selected. The premium Travel Prestige plan also extends coverage to include ICU admissions overseas.
This update is part of a broader set of improvements to Singlife’s travel insurance products. Additional benefits now include optional coverage for pre-existing medical conditions, payouts up to $117 (S$150 SGD) for rainfall-related trip disruptions, and unlimited overseas medical coverage for Travel Prestige customers.
Singlife’s travel plans also reimburse for trip cancellations, lost loyalty points, and emergency expenses related to pregnancy, offering comprehensive protection for travellers.
